Is there a China in ogf yet? I’ve recently restarted whatever existed in my country and my origin being Chinese and my decent understanding of Mandarin and China, I feel I could be able to create an OGF china. I’ve been off mapping on ogf for a long time as I joined way too young to even have a good grasp of what makes a good map, I’ve played around on Cities Skylines and on paper, I feel I can start mapping for good this time. If I’m not good enough to make one I’ll just keep on trying to make my nation but I’d like too know if you think I could be capable of accomplishing this task

1. How do I create areas in JOSM, do I draw nodes and connect them together and add an inner/outer relation sort of thing?

2. I don’t know how I would modify my coastline for parts that go far inland, would I keep that as part of the coastline or give it a new tag? Also, how do I create islands, do I use the island tag for islands out from my coastline?

3. Would I be allowed to do a project on opengeofiction? I plan to develop my city along with completing my school project

So my plans for York (Fergus until the map updates) is to have it originally as a city state that was founded around 1300 to 1500 and there was economic boom around the Renaissance era that saw the city expand rapidly with a population of about 200,000 people. However when cars became available and streets were being converted to suit cars and new roads built for cars York which expanded to occupy (most?) of Kanea (Araluen for the time being) they entered a civil war and a depression. So the economy was in a depression until the 1970s. That’s when the city decided to keep the old roads except for major streets where cars could drive on, the outside of the old city developed to have buildings and modern houses with roads and the road ring along with the other motorways were funded by foreign nations in the 1960s but were completed in the 1980s.

This project is to hopefully have something unique by having little roads in the city and the rest are simply only for people walking or biking but keep the realism at the same time with the help of the city’s history. I’m not sure how to delete the nodes on my shoreline as I have too much :c. On JOSM I don’t know and on ID it takes forever and potlatch (the one I used to edit the shoreline) won’t load and I can only slowly delete the nodes. I need some help from anyone who knows how to use JOSM to delete nodes along my shoreline. Thanks!

I wanted to change the shoreline and I know what to do and not to do but I just don’t know how to use it

You see this is my first time mapping on OGF and I can’t find the blue areas where I can edit and I don’t know how to do anything :/. Messing around by trying to add roads and whatnot (lots of fails up ahead) can teach me otherwise help will be appreciated.
