The country of Peaceland is very incomplete, so please don’t comment on that. I only want to talk about Albert.

I have been working on the city of Albert for a while now, and I’m both proud and not satisfied with what I have made. While I love the downtown region of Albert, the road designs throughout the city feel off and unnatural. If anyone could help me figure out what to do, I’d appreciate it. Still, I’ve made a small bus map for Albert: I plan on extending all the lines shown in the map, but I only had bus routes for downtown as the roads everywhere else are subject to change.

I have also made a Wiki article for the city, if you want to read it.

You should make your Downtown and thus your districts bigger. Right now they are about 1-2 square miles. You should make Downtown include Enzon. You should make Enzon were Jamesville is , and you should move Jamesville further south.

http://tile.opengeofiction.net/util/map_scale.html?map=C/14.322150529957156/-24.86682/26.21348&map2=OSM/x/40.77547/-73.52560&pxpt=0.277&scale=25000

Also you should make your blocks closer to this size in Hicksville, NY or Brooklyn. If you need help I can create a district for you in Albert to model after. Also you said your city was 99.6% Vidipurpian, even with extreme migration shouldn’t their be your own culture or more people than that of a different culture? It is very rare that a migrant population would make up more than 80% of one area let alone 99%, even 95% or somewhere closer to 80% would be more believable. For example Hispanics make up nearly 80% of El Paso but historically they made up somewhere around half the population even in 1970 and before. San Antonio is 60% Hispanic/Mexican and Historically was like 40% or 35% or around that. So you see 30%+ gain with huge immigration. Even LA you only see that in certain neighborhoods but not the entirety of the metro area.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll work on the districts of my city. Also, I would appreciate it if you could make a model district. Thanks!

I can see you are making good progress. Though I say that Albert station could be much bigger (it is seriously way to small).

The motorway should not be too close to the city. The motorway, in fact, should be re-aligned to the south of Enzon. The old alignment can be downgraded to a primary road and join up with President’s Avenue.

You can also erase the forest here, and create a ring road around this town. Why is there are forest around it, I wonder?

The forest is supposed to represent mountains, though I’m not very good at making them. And thanks for the advice, I’ll work on that.

The article on the sidenote is not bad

http://opengeofiction.net/#map=13/-17.7951/21.4647 I think this is how your Forest should be.

If you put bare rock with a forest around it and make the grid more broken it gives of the illusion of a high point on the map and it’s great.

@FancyFoxy & Portopolis,

One step further would be adding the land-use fell in between the land-uses bare rock and forest.
