Double check and improvement suggestions

Posted by ImmortalHawk on 6 November 2018 in English (English)

Hi there,

Just would like some people to check out my town . I would like some suggestions on what to build next, since I think I have a decent grid town setup now.

Thanks, ImmortalHawk

Location: Siltland, Kingdom of Forrintia

Hello! You should build more roads and more geography! It is a nice and casual layout and type of town. When you think that no more roads and geography are needed (you can really never have too much geography), focus on the smaller details, buildings, parks, schools and more.

Hey. Whilst I'm not a huge fan of grid towns or cities, I think this has come out decent. It is a good start and a nice border town, got to love the toll booths. Like @theruler has said, I believe that surrounding the town with nature will make it look great. Also don't forget to add some nature inside your town itself, like parks or maybe even a fancy golf course?

I'm very confused about something. Why is each country at the border controlling OUTGOING traffic rather than INCOMING traffic? Where in the real world does this happen (except North Korea or the old Soviet Bloc)? And what's with the weird crossover of directions?

Example of what seems it would be a similar real-world example - each country (Canada and US) controlling their incoming traffic. I have spent far too long at this border crossing, in my life.

@Luciano my sentiments exaclty. I think it is because people are too lazy to do both sides.

And shoudlnt NK also control incoming traffic as well? Because I dont think they will allow propaganda in easily.

@Zhenkang I'm nearly sure this is what Luciano wanted to say. In former Eastern Block both sides were controlled and we still have infrastructure which allows us to do so. It's sometimes very useful for example when you try to catch a bandit but it's not used in normal conditions.

It'd be cool if it had a palace or something like that
