OpenGeofiction
Is anyone else having problems editing existing roadways in iD? I hover my mouse over a section, and the properties area on the left fills in, but if I click, and move my mouse to the properties panel, the properties panel goes back to its default state.

I have these problems as well. I think they’re related to internet and sever connectivity. There’s nothing I’ve found that fixes the problem, so at that point I normally wait for the problem to go away or switch to either Potlatch 2 or JOSM.

I’m still learning JOSM. Not very user friendly,but at least it has options galore.
Haven’t explored Potlatch too much, but I do like the labels in it.

iD is a perfectly fine editor for OpenStreetMap, but JOSM is much better for OGF purposes. It gives you a lot of options like the Terrace plugin, Extrude tool, grid alignment, etc… things that aren’t really necessary for normal satellite-imagery tracing, but they come in very handy when creating original content
