The Opengeofiction wiki article of Palaseskia is here: http://wiki.opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Palaseskia

I would change the political ideology in the wiki from communism, as communism only became a major force in the 20th century. I’d also recommend changing your tone of voice to a more formal one on your wiki article.

Your country gained independence from who? and for Communism there is no vote, as communism does not believe in a democracy. probably only partially communist?

There are obviously a few things about your history that need ironed out. But looks like you have some basic ideas.

Regarding ‘communism’, this hasn’t been well defined in OGF yet - since obviously Marx and Engels themselves don’t exist in this world - but it might be safe to assume that the ideas arose at about the same time.

That being the case, socialism could have started around 1789 (parallel with rw French Revolution), communism c1848 (parallel with rw communist manifesto).

You can leave large parts of your history as rough sketches until more detail about this world is clear, or you can decide whether there was a prior state that Palesekia became independent from. If you envisage a larger ‘empire’ that your country became independent from in 1786, liaise with neighbours or more widely to discuss this.

Hope this helps.

Great job so far, although I wouldn’t want to live in “Sharton.”

Why would you build the Motorways prior to building the surface routes? The Motorways should make their ways around infrastructure not the other way around. I would look at mapping water and other geo features first.

You could build the “older” routes then you could “break” them apart as you realign them.

OGF has way too many motorways.

So, if you lived in Palaseskia, where would you live?

Comment from Thunderbird on 17 December 2016 at 04:27

I couldn’t answer that question with so little mapped.

Rivers would be a good idea. See OGF:Making realistic countries for more helpful info.

“Shart” has an undesirable meaning, which you can look up if you need to.

Comment from JoshuaRoadMapper on 19 December 2016 at 08:17

Sharton doesn’t represent the word Shart in Palaseskia though.

Comment from isleño on 19 December 2016 at 15:57

Of course not, I’m just explaining why someone said they wouldn’t want to live there. If you don’t mind people thinking of that when they see the place, then there’s no need to change it.
