Hey there,
quick question about a little issue I’ve noticed; I recently started drawing out rough shapes for the harbour in Finkyase (cough thanks to Luciano for fixing some coastline damage I’ve done there… cough), and now this happend:

As you can see in the second picture, clearly only one breakwater each is actually set up in the datebase, nevertheless they still also show up at a location where I moved them from days/weeks ago. Here are the coordinates in case that helps: http://www.opengeofiction.net/#map=14/33.3686/117.2657
Thanks for your help, happy mapping :)

I think all you were seeing is that the coastline updates much less frequently than the rest of the mapping. Your new breakwaters are manmade tags and updated pretty much instantaneous in the map, compared to coastline tags (every 4 hours?)

I think it’s just the coastline update problem. I don’t see it now on the map. As wangi said, sometimes if you edit both coastline and man made features, since the man made features update right away but the coastline is delayed, you get weird overlays like that temporarily.

Thank you, in fact it show up correctly now. I had the 4 hours in my mind too, so I was wondering wh it wasn’t updating after a few days xD But apparently coastlines take even longer to update… Thanks!
