Yesterday I was prompted for a Java update, which I did. Now, however, JOSM won’t start anymore and gives the message that javaws.exe, which is used in starting JOSM, has been changed or moved. That’s a first after a Java update, so I’m lost for now. Anyone have an idea ?
I have Win10, the latest JOSM - and the latest Java (well, er, I think…).
thanks in advance,
Marcello

This JNLP link from the JOSM web page should work without problem:

OpenWebStart !
That is a pretty smart way of solving (maybe a bit circumfering, though ?) the issue. Works like a charm. You’re a hero.

You can also save the JNLP link to your computer and then double click it to launch, rather than go to the webpage each time. L

Actually, it seems I don’t have to. Clicking it once seems either to install it properly of make a permanent link. Every time I launch JOSM now, it takes OpenWebStart en launches correctly.
Interestingly, my fear was that I had to tweak into JOSM itself, to point it to OpenWebStart instead of Javaws. But no such need. Seems to work automatically.
