Manniton: Relocation

Posted by MrManny on 6 January 2020 in English (English)

After my town of Manniton has been relocated to AR120-33j from what is now AR909, I've been fiddling with some infrastructure integration work. I think this has been mostly accomplished by now and I'll resume focusing on continuing to map the ins and outs of Manniton now.

On that note, I have a few general things I should investigate eventually. Comments and propositions on any of these are, of course, welcome.

  • ICAO codes for airports (for this civilian airport)
  • Religion demographics (for this place of worship)
  • Properly mapping public transportation (primarily bus lines; I'll check OSM later for reference)
  • General checklist for what public infrastructure (medical, police, education, administrative, etc.) a town would need to double-check if I got everything covered.

That's it for now. Have a neat 2020, everyone!

Hey so unrelated to anything above and a really tiny nit-pick, really. The airport runway is labelled 17-42. It would be 17-35 (although that said it looks more like 03-21, anyway).

Otherwise good mapping and respect for going to this effort.

Thanks, Jamie. I honestly winged the runway designation. So no worries, I am always open to any kind of nit-picking. I'll follow your proposition and change it accordingly in a second. Also, thank you very much for the compliment :-)

And thanks, zhenkang. I'll read through these articles in a minute and take it from there :-)

The Federal States ANACA always starts with BA followed by two letters for the airport, ex. BAHH (Hope Harbor), BAER (Elvira). WAAT's do not necessarily have to match the ANACA

Thanks, Brunanter. I've assigned BAMN and MAN respectively. :-)
