Mikelatham: This used to happen a lot but now that it’s calm down I had hoped that these flooding events would stop. But what usually happens is a new user or even a regular user like me would make edits to a coast and would break the coast by cutting most likely to create a river,road on the coast or something of the sort.
To General Archantans: I have done it once and I recommend all people on that continent to think of when they possibly could have cut the coast then tell aan admin if you think yo did it. I personally stop making edits if my continent is flooded because although I’m not sure how the admins do it, I think their process may involve going through old logs on that continent or area to find the break in coastline.
Usually the flood gets fixed in a couple hours depending on when the event happens and it may take a while to render.

Coastline updates vary. From my experience sometimes it can take a few days, while other times it took half an hour. Meanwhile, Commonia is still flooded.
Well, it would apprear to be fixed. That was quite difficult. East-central Commonia is a mess, and I’m not sure what the solution is. Several times, in attempting to repair things, I contemplated just deleting everything. The repairs made in that area are contingent - strictly intended to fix the coastline and get past the worst of the error-flags JOSM was throwing up.

The entire coastline of a country was deleted by a new user.
I replaced it. The coastline render update may take some time.

I think my earlier repair wasn’t enough. I am trying to find some more problems - which I have.
With the coastline updates being so delayed, it’s very hard to troubleshoot these problems.
