Unfortunately, I’ve been having trouble updating. 1. When I click the link on ‘you should update’, it brings me to the Josm download page. 2. I click on the most recent version, and it asks if I want to open or save. I click open. It runs a security scan. 3. It brings me to a internet explorer view downloads page. Looking at a tutorial video on how to download, this is not supposed to happen. It asks me if I want to save or open the file. 4. I click open. 5. Then it just duplicates the file and I’m back to step 3. HELP

When you click to download, choose save instead of open. Save it in an area where you’ll remember. Try it from there. You should get a different result.

I have no idea what problem you’re seeing, exactly. But, try this.
Click this:
https://josm.openstreetmap.de/download/windows/josm-setup.exe
Now, that will save a .exe onto your computer. Find that file and double-click. That should install JOSM. It’s how I do it for Windows.

I already downloaded the latest JOSM update, but when I opened the file, the antivirus software ran a security scan and automatically deleted the JOSM update. I also ended up with the same results.

I have just downloaded JOSM on my new computer. Now I have to connect to OGF.
