Hey guys, Welcome to my user dairies, I’ve been editing on maps in OGF and I’ve recorded some content and posted it to my channel visit my channel here.
If you watched my video thanks for watcing and please subscribe.
I can’t help but be slightly sceptical of this. Whilst of course you are welcome to OGF to come and develop your skills over time I am worried about YouTube. In the past we’ve had OGF be ‘discovered’ by people from other gaming or simulation communities who have arrived en masse and not exactly covered themselves in glory in the way they behaved and the way they mapped. I am not of the opinion that an exponential increase in users is necessarily good for OGF. I would always rather have 10 long-term mappers than 100 people who turn up, build one wonky metropolis in the desert and then leave again.
So whilst I don’t have a problem with YouTube in principle I think that the best videos would be from an experienced mapper showing the best practice. You’re a new mapper who is still learning the ropes and you are showing promise. That being said your mapping would not be considered an example of best practice, there are issues with scale and realism. In addition it is not a good idea to use iD if you plan on developing your mapping in the long term as JOSM offers much better features.
I am sorry for jumping down your throat but I think this is something that needs to be flagged up before your videos reach hundreds of Cities Skyline players who will repeat the experiences we’ve had before with influxes.

I’d have not show my mapping if I were you on YouTube.
