Is there any way to measure distance in iD?
Thank you for your answers!

Press 'Command' + 'I' if you are on a Mac to open up the measurement box on iD.
Windows probably have a similar command/shortcut but I do not know what it is. :|
Hope this helps,

It's the same, ctrl+'i' on a Windows PC.

The problem is I only have a tablet and I rarely have access to a computer...

Use a ruler on your screen. Lo-tech, but it works. Also, build temporary buildings exactly 100m square, or 1000m square. I used to do that when I first started, using Potlatch, before deciding I was a JOSM snob.

Thanks, Yuan. Now I can calculate the area of my states/counties.

@Luziyca there is an OGF size calculator for admin boundaries

You can also use JOSM and download the Measurements plugin to measure the distance.

I would like to know the how I can access the "OGF size calculator for admin boundaries". And I think it would be a good idea to add this tool on the Help & Resources page on the OGF wiki.
Or have I just missed the link on the page (because it is a likely possibility)?

The area size calculator is the first link under the "other resources" tab of the help & resources page. It links to a diary entry (for some reason) which then links to the calculator.

It didn't seem to update all that often, last I checked (when I got Kuggyong).

I have found another way to access the area size calculator from the Help & Resources Page. It is the first sub-point of the fourth point of the tab Contributing to the OGF Encyclopedia. There you will be linked to a small page with the link to the area size calculator.
I do not think that having two (indirect) links to the area size calculator is necessary. Should one be removed?
