After much deliberation and discussion, I have taken on the task of drawing up a list of Ingerish monarchs to help further flesh out Ingerland and it’s empire. Also coming will be information on the Ingerish Commonwealth and the Ingerish Games (a version of the RL Commonwealth Games that involves ~53 countries around the world)

Given that a page listing any monarchs is likely to affect a very large number of you out there, I wanted to avoid any conflicts and duplication. So if anyone has already named an Ingerish monarch in the history of their own country, please let me know. That way, I can make every endeavour to incorporate it into the list.

The list of monarchs will use English-sounding names, that are era appropriate, and attempt avoid clashing with RL monarchs wherever possible.

I have opened a discussion on the geologic time scale of the OGF world. Whilst I suspect we would all like to keep things better similar to the real world, I think there is some scope for us to have some fun and creativity in this area.

If you study geology, or just have a keen interest, this might be fun for you.

Kingsbury has been the featured map over the last fortnight, an honour I was delighted to receive.

That said, it can always be better, and so I’ve spent much of the last few days working on adding more details. From buildings, offices, shops, and clubs; the city now looks more filled-in and alive. But i’ve also been working on adding those small things that add reality to a map, and are a reality of city life, such as payphones, pillar boxes, bus stops, and bins. It’s fiddly work, but definitely worth the effort.

My next challenge to resume adding the streets in the various outer suburbs of the city. Something i’m not looking forward to, since getting curvy suburban streets to look accurate has been beyond me so far

I wondered if creating a collection of maperative rulesets might be something the rest of you are interested in?

Is their a list of multinational food and other business chains that has been put together for OGF? I’m thinking we need the following:

• Burger and other fast food chains (i.e KFC, McDonalds)
• Oil companies (BP, Shell, etc)
• Parcel and couriers (UPS, FedEx)
• err…. other stuff?!

I’ve just logged in, and it seems Archanta is fully under water :/ I cant hazard a guess as to where or why, since I haven’t been on for a few days.

I have noticed in my workings that dams (for reservoirs) don’‘t render the same way in OGF as they do OSM. For dams that form an area, we get a nice black line filled with grey in OSM. However, in OGF they don’t seem to render at all.

Any ideas why?
