Hi guys,
I have noticed in my workings that dams (for reservoirs) don’‘t render the same way in OGF as they do OSM. For dams that form an area, we get a nice black line filled with grey in OSM. However, in OGF they don’t seem to render at all.
Any ideas why?

I think dams are not supposed to be rendered as areas, but rather as ways, at least in OGF, like you did a bit further north. Perhaps try to render it as a building if you want to map the dam itself in much detail? I’m not very experienced in reservoir mapping so maybe others have better ideas XD

I’m not sure I’m sufficiently knowledgeable to comment on the rendering issues, but I have discovered that if I tag my dams as: waterway=dam and building=wall, they show up in a fairly dam-appropriate way. Some examples:

I think it’s because of the newer version of the Mapnik layer in OSM. You’ll see other differences as well: New forest color and signature e.g.
