Continuing Mapping Cornut

Posted by anonymous0909 on 25 September 2020 in English (English)

Hi, I am new and I am just a kid who likes geography. I had no idea that this world was so in depth.

I just want to know, how do i get more into history too this world?

What country colonized mine? How and why did they? How can I answer all these questions?

Please tell what your country is (if you already have a territory) and what you have already come up with in terms of worldbuilding. Depending on how much help you need, other mappers will then help you to devise a culture, a language, develop a realistic history and a geographical layout and tell you whether your own ideas are viable and appropriate.

I would suggest looking around at the wiki, look at various countries and see which one you think would be the most realistic colonizer of yours. Is Cornut English-speaking? If so, it was likely colonized by Ingerland.

On a side note, the wiki takes forever to load.

My country is cornut or AR050-20. I have built it as a small urban belgium like state. I haven't done any history what so ever.

It would be great if we had more non-English countries here. Perhaps you need help developing a conlang?

Also how do I add a wiki page for my country?

A conlang is a fictional language. So, one that does not exist in real life, but is instead invented by you. (I'm sure there is a more in depth definition somewhere, but this is the basic one)

You need to get a wiki account in order to edit the wiki. You can get one by asking admin, but I believe you need to map a sufficient amount of your country first.

You also don't need to have a conlang if you don't want to map in english, you can use another language, like belgian, french, german, spanish, danish etc...

From OGF:Territory assignment: "AR050-nn or AR099x territories - these have much less stringent requirements on theme, language and culture but as such should be largely considered a proving ground, not a location of long term country development" and "a wiki account will not be generally created for this territory" when you were granted the territory.

Your AR050 territory allows you to build up familiarity with the site, tools and mapping skill. You can later request a territory with considered language and theme.
