I had never seen this app before, but I took a look at it just now and my main observation is that the list of choices for “Map background” appears to be hard-coded.
Consequently, you might be able to edit in OGF using the tool, by changing the OSM API URL and your log in credentials (as in JOSM), but you’d still have to deal with having a “real world” map background (maybe this could be turned off? - but then, how would you know “where you are” for download purposes? Just based on coordinates, I suppose… ). Alternately, it appears you could download OSM files on your PC, copy to them to your Android device, edit them, then copy them back to your PC and upload the files with changes to the server (i.e. with JOSM).
To get an OGF map background, I suspect if you want to do some coding, you could download the source, edit the map background choices to include OGF, and re-compile the app.
I’m not sure I understand the appeal of using an Android device to edit in OGF. For the “real world,” the utility is obvious, for mapping “where you are” and GPS integration, but for OGF that doesn’t apply. Is it for the portability of it? I often “surf” the OGF world on my Android tablet, but I wouldn’t want to edit there - I would find “fat-fingering” all the map features quite frustrating, I’d think.
I agree with Luciano. I do not see the point in editing on a mobile app. It might not be as bad on a large tablet where there is more room but the tablet would have to have a large screen and possibly need decent high-end hardware to handle a program designed for a normal computer and not a lower end mobile device.

I tried to configure it too… I think i did it, but it is very hard to edit maps on a mobile device in general.

Sometimes, if you are doing very minor edits, id worked for me on the iPad just using Safari.
