Hi, I’ve just got my territory (UL203) and I wanted to make big lakes and modifie the coastline to make it more realistic but I don’t know how to make them, for the moment I can just make little bits because I’m using iD… So I downloaded JOSM because I read that it will be easier to make big and long things. I followed the FAQ advices for editing with JOSM on the map but when I select it in the editing options (iD/Potlatch/JOMS) a message appears : editing failed : make sure JOSM is loaded and the remote control option is enabled. I don’t really understand what does it mean.
Do I do something wrong ? Do you have easier ways to make big and long things for my country ?

Easiest way is to start JOSM and then “File/Download from OSM…” in the menu - select the area you want to edit on the map. Make sure to read “How can I display the Opengeofiction map as background in JOSM?” in the FAQ.
Or you can go to “Edit/Preferences”, select the remote control icon and then check “enable remote control”

“To display the Opengeofiction map as background in JOSM, add our server to the “selected entries” in the “Imagery preferences” as shown in “josm_02.png”. “Opengeofiction” should then appear under the “Imagery” menu, like shown in this screenshot: josm_02.png”
“add our server” do I need to add http://opengeofiction.net/api ?
When I do that the screen becomes red with “error”.

Thank you so much :), I think I didn’t write it correctly before and my Josm was in French so it was hard to translate.
