Hello, mappers! The year is coming to an end and needless to explain, we all need a break. Personally I’ve been living the same day over and over again for the past several months, and while I recognize the luxury and privilege of being able to stay home, sometimes I also feel like losing my mind because of it. These days it can be quite easy to feel burnt out and directionless, and to lose interest even in things you’ve enjoyed for a long time – like geofiction.

If you’re starting to feel that way, maybe you should pause for a bit. The admin team has always been understanding and ready to help in such cases, but in the continents I manage, I would like to take a step further. As a holiday gift, I’m extending the current deadlines on territory withdrawal by 60 days (to 180 days since last edit), so that you don’t have to worry about being inactive. Take your eyes off the screen. Have a break. Return when you’re ready.

Thanks Eklas for this measure, I’m alreay less active since a few months and it’s good to have a bigger breathing time.

Not losing our minds is an everyday fight now and geofiction helps killing the time and evading to better imaginary worlds. So thanks to all the people who rule this unique website and keep it alive. And nice holidays to the admin team.

Quick public note about my edits, since we’re talking about East Uletha and I want to avoid making a diary entry: due to lack of time I’m sorry if my recent mapping is not precise, if you thing it should be heath where I used meadow, if I don’t use multipolygon where I should etc. etc., but right now I mostly make quick fixes when I have a minute or two and I don’t have time to make geographical study to determine whether this or that polygon will be forest, scrub, etc. No offenses, I just don’t have time to be this much into it now. So in case of a mapping conflict at the borders: if you are the mapper of Keira, Karolia, Neberly, UL022h, or any neighbor of mine, and the curent look of the border zone bothers you, you have my authorization to adapt/change any polygon that is across our borders let’s say in a 5 Km range. For example, a mountain side that is not precisely mapped. I voluntarily kept most border zones imprecise for that reason.

I’m more focusing about “conlangifying” more my countries’ languages right now, in order to avoid resemblance with real-world languages which are now clearly defined to be originating from west Uletha.

I’ve been less active due to wanting to limit my screen time. I am now going out to work again but still have to do some work at home via internet.

However be assured I’m still very into OGF and immersing myself in Karolia in my head. Also been making a scale model of a Karolian railway carriage with lots of detail. Nearly finished so will post pictures soon.

I like what Halvarda’s done with languages in my neighbours. Keira is now mostly Uralic which works nicely, with some German and Italian. That fits very nicely into the surrounding nations.

This is a bit late, for a User Diary but just wanted to tell Admin after a really busy year with Covid-19 and School, that, i’m hopefully will be able to jump in full-force into Hoppon and Sadikady after Tuesday of this week when I take the last of my college exams for this semester.
