Not much of a diary post, but I’m really curious about this. How often does the rendering software get updated? I see OSM has recently changed the allotments and playground texture and also the font spacing and face, so I’m just a little curious as to when we’re going to get it too. It’s not like I’m demanding it or something though.

It happens irregularly. Either there’s a change in the appearance of OSM that catches my eye or someone makes a post like “In OSM we can see XY, why isn’t it in OGF?”. BTW, it’s not so much the software that gets updated, but rather the rendering style.
As for the latest style version, it will be coming to OGF soon. I’m currently working on setting up a separate tile server for OGF, which will hopefully improve performance, and the current OSM style will come as a byproduct.
