Hi, guys, I’ve been editing at the island part of Commonia. I’ve started on a small town called Truabury and made another island (small) for mountain-like landscapes. But, whenever I look at it (view), it only shows the name of the island but not the island itself. Is there something I’ve been doing wrong?

I’ve also added an administrative boundary and have followed everything the administrative boundary of Saporti has. It still doesn’t work.

-Thanks, iiEarth

I can see the island just fine (I think coastlines take a little longer to update). As for the administrative boundary, I’m believe you’re lacking some tags in the relation - compare with Saporti.

The relations are not correct in Saporti either. The multipolygon tag should not be used at all with boundaries.

To do it right, compare e.g. with Gobras City.

The boundary way should have no tags except admin_level=[number] and boundary=administrative. All other tags should be in the relation, including name, type=boundary and boundary=administrative. This is the only way to make it right when adjacent administrative areas are created.

You see, the relation represents the actual administrative area surrounded by one or more boundary ways. Usually more than one, because most administrative areas adjacent to more than one area of same admin level so the boundary way must be cut in the intersections.

A single boundary way is often part of several relations representing the areas on both sides of the way on different admin levels.

A more detailed explanation here.
