Hello everyone!

I am mapping in Indahtanah, a state in Lorotoban. It is a Timor-based island nation. You can read more about it here.

With that out of the way, I was mapping rural ‘stuff’ (farmland, crops, orchards, et cetera). But, I came to a part where the farmland meets with the forest (in this case, rather hilly). I can’t find any good examples of rice paddies or any mountainous farmland in Openstreetmap. If anyone has an example, can you please comment it down? I would like some inspiration mostly in an Asian place (rice is mostly grown in Asia anyway).

Hi, everyone, I was editing on the map when I saw that when I was tracing a line, it did not appear, and when I was done with my approximate vision of the line, it was all over the map. Is there something wrong with my computer? Or is there something wrong. with the map/program?

Hi, guys, I’ve been editing at the island part of Commonia. I’ve started on a small town called Truabury and made another island (small) for mountain-like landscapes. But, whenever I look at it (view), it only shows the name of the island but not the island itself. Is there something I’ve been doing wrong?

I’ve also added an administrative boundary and have followed everything the administrative boundary of Saporti has. It still doesn’t work.

Previously, I made a mall which came out to be too big. I decided to delete it and make it more realistic by sights, OSM, and Google Maps. I am trying to make it as realistic as possible, but can I get tips about how to make it more realistic?

1. Hey, guys. I was wondering if I could enlarge a freeway (45) so that it could reach Chico? I made this freeway to connect my city to Katsnelson. Soon I thought of making it bigger, and I saw Chico. Because Katsnelson is not connected to Chico, and Chico is not connected to any city, can I enlarge 45 to Chico?

1. Hey, guys, in this diary entry I also wanted to list a problem. Somebody (I don’t know who) made the cliff ‘Peakton Cliff’. It surrounds a lot of Commonia, and I don’t remember seeing it before. I’ve been editing my city for long, and I don’t remember the cliffs there. Can I delete parts of it surrounding my city?

Hey, guys, I have a question. Actually, questions:

How much should the population of a city be to make it… ‘major’? I know that you can’t just make a point, call it a city, and put its population to 150 mn, saying it is major. Also, how much should the pop. be for it to have: an airport, its own companies, big parks, and others.

This problem has having me troubled for long: When I search my city’s name, why does it show a tertiary road called Calle Orós instead of my city? Whenever I want to know how to get to my city to, suppose, Katsnelson or Dolala, I have to always search up from Blaan instead of my city, which isn’t that accurate in the sense of time.

Hopefully someone knows why…

Hello, mappers, I was reading the Mapper’s Challenge #20 when I thought of making a movie studio. Soon, I realized this: why not make a city like Hollywood (you know, because it has a big movie studio and all)? I may be asking too much, but because I’m not that good at making maps, should we team up on making this?
