Standards and mapping style in the Federal States of Archanta?

I got a small county to map in the Federal States of Archanta. Since I can’t write in the wiki and haven’t found any answers there I have to ask my questions here:

are there common standards how to map motorways/trunk roads and railways, e.g. regarding the distance of lanes or tracks?
-
I’d like to draw farms and farmland. What should be the typical size of a farm and farmland in this region?
-
how to determine the width of rivers? I know the corresponding explanation in the wiki, but how to deal with rivers coming from/going to other states and don’t possess a reasonable width?

My answer to your questions are as follows:
1 - I don’t think you need to worry about standards for motorways / trunk roads, etc. Look at someone’s mapping in FSA whose work you think well of, and let that be your example. My personal view (and I’m sure there are many who disagree) is that the FSA project is “too young” yet to have settled into consensus on this. I also think we don’t even necessarily need a single nation-wide standard. Standards vary in the US in different regions, due to various historical considerations.
2 - This is “east coast US”, I’d say look at well-mapped farmland in similar regions of the US (for example, here: osm.org/#map=14/40.0527/-74.6843) as an example, and let that be your guideline.
3 - Likewise for rivers, actually it might be easiest to choose a real-world river that strikes you as a good prototype for the river you’re working on, get its width, and work from there. Maybe Philadelphia region’s Neshaminy Creek is a good prototype? In your Aldergate County you may have no problems with rails, motorways and trunk-roads - they are given there. Nevertheless: between two rails 5 m is a good distance. At roads you have to see, how many lanes (2 or 3 each direction) there are and is in the middles only a small strip or may be a broader strip of green (may be 10 m). If you take 3.5 m each line, then you get (2 lanes each) as realistic value 20, 25 or 30 m.
To farmland Luciano has said the essential. Best model is the reality.
As far as I know, rivers in the USA are more untached as in Europe, so the rivers in the rurual landscape looks broader, more “untamed”, with some islands and swamps aside.

I’d like to add some more tracks at the stations. But I’ve seen that the distance between parallel tracks (which are already there) varies greatly (between 5 m and 20 m). The distance of lanes at motorways is larger compared to Europe I guess?
The farmland example is great, it looks like the one I had in my mind! Also the scale helper is a great help, I’ll look for some examples and compare it with my mapping.

May you please desribe, where you see a difference of 20 m between parallel rails?
Different user had drawn different parts of motorways in New Carnaby. Threfore may be the distance between the both lines is not always the same. The main mistake is not, that both lines are to near, but that the gap between both lines of a motorway is to broad.

I have to look where it was, maybe it was in a curve where I’ve measured the distance of 18 m, but east of Bourdon the distance is up to 13 m whereas east of Westfolk the distance is less than 3.5 m.
I remember that there are interstates in the United States where the distance between lanes is large.

Westfolk-rails now are a little bit broader - but east of Bourdon can be more difference between the rails to have a smooth line to the junction in the east.
In dense populated areas sure the difference between the lanes of motorways often is smaller as in an area of wide rurual land. By the way: You took over this county with given structure of rails and important streets. Sure a fine-tuning of this items ever is possible, but why this is your first sorrow?
