We have around 8500 users here, if everyone would post something on user diaries every day, there would be a bigger mess that Lisnee at the moment. Please, before posting on user diaries, think about the following points:
Does your diary HELP other, more advanced users?
Is your work WORTH being shown off? Could it INSPIRE other mappers?
Do you search for inspiration or advice?

If you like to give daily reports of your work, you can set up a bliki instead of posting in diary entries. Despite the name, it is not a diary.
@stjur I did not know we have 8500 users. That’s a huge number, but does it count active members or inactive members?

@zhenkang I just saw that my user ID is somewhere around 2500 and Jesus’ user ID is above 8000, so I suppose we have over 8000 users on here. Of course they’re not all active, but I just wanted to give my dude Jesus a little useless knowledge.

For the record, analyzing the changeset log, for the 2 weeks ending yesterday, there were 222 active, distinct users. In fact, probably there are fewer “regulars” than even that. 90% of user accounts created never make an edit. Probably bots or something.

Because users who owned those were inactive for a very long time, so their countries might be distributed to other users soon. But at the moment we don’t really have any countries marked for withdrawal, although there are many inactive owners all over the world.

You don’t need a big territory; it would take over a 100 years of constant mapping to finish your country. Btw we have a FAQ and you might wanna check it out before asking me such questions.

Call yourself advanced when between Venice Beach and Lisnee you can’t tell which is real world and which is geofiction. And maybe start by removing the forest from your city area… wait, you don’t know how to do it? This might show how far away you are from being an advanced user. If a guy like me, who intensively maps on OpenGeofiction for more than a year now, tells you it’s not a good idea to try to get a big territory, you might wanna listen to him. I wouldn’t want to have such a big territory, I don’t consider myself as advanced. But you might be, although you just started. Maybe you were born advanced. This explains all these original, unique ideas I found in Lisnee, like zigzag streets. Love them.
Again, do you search for inspiration or advice? (You’ll need that to get more advanced than advanced)

Jesus Antonio, regarding your question about how to be an advanced user for getting a large territory, there isn’t really a separation between advanced users and normal users. You just have to message @admin about whether you can claim a certain territory, and they may grant it, they may reject you or they may decide to give you a small section.
Regarding how to change your name, I don’t think you can.
@stjur, your outburst was uncalled for, and it seems you misunderstood Jesus Antonio’s question. Jesus Antonio never really claimed he/she was advanced, or denied what you said. Your initial comment ‘You don’t need a big territory…’ was very accusational and it is understandable that one would reply in self defense.
