I use the backups and then “cut out” an area to edit using osmconvert… But it looks like the backups are stale - they’re being created, but looks like changes in the last four days (or so) aren’t included?
I sometimes edit using this method - I just tried it with most recent backup and my edits from yesterday are showing up without problem. … Is it possible you’re mixing up on your computer somehow? I did that once, and realized I was returning to a stale .osm file.

Thanks for looking - I double checked a couple of times over the last few days… I was pretty sure…
But argh - a third filename had ended up in my command line somehow. I was changing the last two, but it was still reading from the first.
