Normal House sizes?

Posted by AxisTwo on 6 November 2019 in English (English)

What's the average length/width of a house in meters? I'm trying to start making buildings, houses, etc... But I'm afraid that I'll mess up the measurements. I'd like some help on this, thanks.

I draw boxes at around (15~20)m*(10~15)m. Generally, you're looking at 2000 sqft (or 200m2) for American suburban homes.

For urban areas, I draw duplexes (Montreal style - Building with 2 households) at around (6~8)m*(25~30)m.

If you want daylight in the rooms of your houses, then 15 - 20 m from frontside to backyard can be usual for a standard house.
