Hi everyone,
I’ve been away from OGF for a long while due to other commitments, but I’m ready to jump back into my country, Basmia. In my tiny slivers of spare time I’ve been working on a concept map for what Basmia will look like, at least in terms of major roads. I haven’t planned out all of it, but to me that’s fine because I don’t want to plan everything out in one go (takes some of the fun out of it). The map is here. I’d appreciate some constructive feedback before I put it into Piclayer and start mapping it out for real.

Remove the motorways. Mapping motorways first takes all of the fun out of it.

Also about motorways, do they have any links at all? After future development, you should then start on the motorways. Anyways, welcome back to Opngeofiction!

@iiEarth When you say “motorway links” do you mean interchanges and exits? The motorways will have them; the level of detail on my map is not big enough for that. There will also be more primary roads crossing the motorways, but like i said I didn’t want to plan everything out first shot.

I think he meant whether the motorways will have links with neighbouring nations.
Really, I prefer if the motorways are out for the moment; think of forests within the nation as well. Think of the small towns and so on.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I have mapped some of my plan, leaving out motorways and instead creating roads within the towns and cities where the motorways could be developed in the future. I am now going to look at geographical features in the north-central region of the country.
@iiEarth There will be connections to other countries if that’s what you meant. I am yet to converse with my neighbors about crossing borders.
