Maybe this is just a phase, but I’m not feeling as motivated as I used to be about my country, Basmia. A couple weeks ago I added some extra roads, but that felt more like something I had to do rather than wanted to do.
Honestly, I think the reason I’m feeling this way is because I’m stressing about my scale of things. Since I enjoy urban mapping more than rural or geographical, I tend to overlook rivers, coastlines and other natural features, so when I overhauled Basmia a few months back, I added some of those things based on a concept map I made, but I haven’t touched them since. When I worked on Basmia last, I realized that the Basmia River is way, way, WAY too big, and therefore out of scale. And of course, I just don’t feel motivated enough to edit it, putting it simply.
The hardest thing about OGF is getting started, because all you have is a huge, blank canvas and, in your own territory, nobody to tell you what to do. Maybe I should join a collaborative country, turn in Basmia, and start over for the second time in my OGF “career”.
If anybody owns one of these collaboratives, please let me know if you’re looking for new members.

Hey BillionPenny483, dont worry, be happy! I, and most others I presume, have already been to a point where you are short of saying ,,screw this’’. Somewhere in the FAQ IIRC it says to keep focused on small areas and work into a bit of detail and slowly expand. You dont want to know how fed up I’ve been with OGF and myself already. Get some ideas and inspiration, take a look at all the helpful resources provided here and stay focused. Rome wasnt build in a day either. And leaving a country full of littered remains behind wouldnt be nice either wouldnt it?

Hey, I also have gone in a phase like you after my wiki account was revoked. Deciding that SK (Singkangia, my former territory) isnt worth continuing and plays a little role in OGF, I decided to participate in Antigo, a totaliterian state once part of Pretany. I thought of inviting you,then you can move some parts of Basmia if you want to Kontroga, and I can assign you a duchy to work on as well.
But if you choose to go on in Basmia, I recommend if you dont delete everything. Or if you want to rescale stuff, use JOSM. There is a rescale function there.
Basmia is near Elhadia, where I also briefly mapped, but I mainly just moved my SK mapping there and built that highway. We can PM each other on how to link the highway to your nation.

And additional notes, this is also want many new users face as well. Which is why we (regular OGF users) need to also start reaching out to newbies.
