Mecyna Numeric and Alphabetical Routes

Posted by Configours on 19 July 2020 in English (English).

While doing some planning for my project within Mecyna, I ran into the idea of creating a detailed list of all Numeric and Alphabetical routes that runs their course through-out Mecyna including projected lengths, Northern/Southern (Eastern/Western) Terminus and even special attractions or areas that they served throughout the nation. While Mecyna is a free-to-edit country, I feel that a complete list of highways would be a necessary step in both showcasing the amount of infrastructure in Mecyna, but also to be able to keep a running list in case there happens to be two disjointed sections of similarly numbered (lettered) highways to avoid a conflict in the Lore of the Highway system.

It’s just an idea…

Mecyna is too messy.

I mean, I agree it is a good idea, however, Mecyna is on the “dark side” of the blue countries — not very realistic, many motorways, etc. It constantly changes, and it’s hard to keep track of the changes. But if you’re willing to get into that, I say go for it.

Mecyna could use some positive change for sure.

I’ve drafted up extensive plans for the Gilagonas Region in Mecyna which includes lakes and smaller villages so its not…. so bare of a waste. But also I noticed how many towns there are in Mecyna without roads or a small network. They’re just points in the middle of nowhere with nothing. I’ve also noticed the lack of consistency between two cities that mind you are connected to one another near Pembroke, and further south to the border.

Archanta Admin hat on. If you want to improve the overall mapping in Mecyna then focus on good quality natural features, rural mapping and migration of that into well mapped urban areas is the way to go. Focusing on road numbering isn’t.
