Not too long ago, I decided to change my country’s name to something new. I’ve come up with some ideas, what do you all think?
“Albert/Albertia/Albertland” - The last name of the guy who leads whatever movement that leads to my country’s founding. I still need to decide on an actual history, but Albert is the name I chose for whatever it ends up being. I already named a city in my country Albert, though.
“Pacton/Pactell” - Like Peaceland, but I use the word Pact instead.
“New Bailand/New Bai” - If the Bai Empire does end up happening, this name would follow a history where my country was originally part of it.
“Peacia/Peacan/Peacton/Peacester” - Some names that still use the word Peace.
If you have any suggestions, I’d be happy to hear some.

The best I think is Concordia, or Kencordia if I give a version of it.
For Albertland or Albertia I reject because that is a bit way too vain. I mean, what nation is named after the founder? Even Antigo isnt named Briarmackia or somethings or like that, or North Korea as the Kim-dom.
As for Bai, I rather if no references are made to it yet, since I have claimed the territories for these.

@zhenkang Welp, we can’t do Concordia now. (see first reply) I can make a change to it, but it’ll probably sound too much like the already existing Concordia. And I’ll only actually use the Bai ones if the Bai Empire ends up existing.

I don’t like trying to mention “Peace” in your country name. I personally think it’s childish trying to do so, and it’s not like there are similar real world examples.
Fact: The name for my country, Esthyra, is generated from an elf name simulator. If you read JavaScript, you can legit just read their word choices here (All fantasy name generators contain a JavaScript file with prefix/suffix choices).

Depends how broadly you consider “founder”…
Colombia, Bolivia, Saudi Arabia, China, Peru, Seychelles, Liechtenstein and others.
Of course, even the America’s are in relation to Amerigo Vespucci.

Albertia is too similar to the Canadian province of Alberta, so I highly recommend you avoid that to reduce confusion. Albert doesn’t really sound like a country name, while Albertland just doesn’t sound all that great.
New Bailand/New Bai doesn’t really sound great: even if it were to be part of the Bai Empire, it’d make more sense to just use the name given by the Bai instead of just lazily calling it New Bai: I doubt that Vietnam was ever called New China by the Chinese when they ruled over it.
The names Peacia/Peacan/Peacton etc… they don’t really look great, plus it doesn’t really get rid of the problem that you’re trying to fix: you may as well just save yourself the effort if you choose one of those, and just stay as Peaceland.
So of the names that are present, Pacton is probably the only one that I’d really use: Pactell sounds too much like a telecommunications company like Nortel or SaskTel.
I would probably call the area “Tinbac” or “Beifen,” meaning northern province in Vietnamese or Mandarin respectively.

The country south of you Kalisaanyo has its own language - Byri. Why not ask Reece202 what ‘Peace-land’ is in this language? Even if you don’t use the language there’s likely to be some connection.

My suggestions: United Land Uniland Harmonia or Armonia
Or try to make something like Canada, a good sounding word created by yourself that means peaceland in the native language of your country.

Try translate peace into other languages, such as Byri, or other languages nearby. However, I prefer if you dont use Chinese to translate yet, since I have yet claim the territories needed for Bai. Or if you have come up with other possible names you can list them here.

‘Peace’ ‘Land’ in Tâth - another language spoke on Harda Island - would be ‘Tiv Suvu’.
