You had two admins giving you feedback on that thread. In the end it’s down to complexity and resource… If you’ve got the ability to make some of those ideas a reality, then please be bold and make it happen.

OGF has two major components; the wiki and the map and that’s really what people are here for. Your suggestions are very unrealistic and would take a great amount of programming expertise and time and effort.
There are already programmes out there like Simcity, Cities in Motion and Cities Skyline that do some of what you want but to integrate that sort of technology with OGF would be basically impossible.
As for the new continents there is still plenty of available territory and work to be done on the existing continents so I can’t see that the new territory would be open for a while. Here’s a recent thread that explains that:
