I just opened OGF and noticed my whole country Unesia is now shaded blue. I’m a relatively new user, but this matches the description of a continental flooding, which is bad news for anyone in Archanta. I guess this means no more editing for a while.

Yep, my country Balonis is too…

You can continue editing and it will be fine. The flood is just what the renderer makes from invalid data. The database sees no difference between something on land and in an ocean. However trying to find the cause of the flood could indeed be more important.

Violation of rules 4 & 5: Don’t intersect! Don’t use coastline for port!

A whole section of coast has been deleted, in Commonia, in Divnogorsk and Farend between Thesaloniki and the place ‘Alphabet CIty’.
I could do a temporary fix, but it would be better if someone who has a backup fills that whole section in as it was before, its quite long. Failing that, reverter plugin.

Ah, you are right. Those port facilities were created a month ago, couldn’t be the cause. But wrong anyway.

The flood is temporarily ‘patched’ but I’m afraid someone else will have to put that bit of coastline back together. To whoever takes on doing that, there is a ‘delete me’ tag on the temporary section.

The last known good backup on the server is from 2016-07-04. Everything else appears to have at least a little bit missing. The backup from 2016-07-13 might also be good (it’s bigger than the 2016-07-04 one but not by enough to instill my confidence in it).

Thanks to everyone who worked on identifying and fixing the flooding problem! :)
