The Latina Sea is one of the major oil reservoirs in OGF. And when I was going through the maps of my neighbors, I noticed that some country, like Latina ,extend their territorial waters far into the sea because they got the offshore oil platforms.
I am interested in building some oil drills for my country, the new formed Kaosha . And I want to know if their is any rules of building those oil platforms. Because as far as my knowledge goes, offshore oils are not considered islands and can not extend territorial waters into the sea.
I checked the Rule of Seas and didn’t find anything regarding oil platforms.

As they are atill considered part of your territory, all overseas territory must be overseen by admins. So contact admin and also ask histor and other neighbours in the sea.

In the real world it’s a countries’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ), it is not mapped as if it is an expansion of the territorial sea.

In the RW, while offshore oil rigs do not give a nation the right to claim the territorial waters around them, islands do. You could expand your territorial waters by building islands in the desired areas (such as China does in the South China Sea) to legitimize your claims to those desirable areas (work out a plan with admin though if this is what you want to do).
However, oil doesn’t have to be found so far out to sea. Oil can be found on land, in the tidal zones, and within the territorial waters you already have. I’d say that if you want to build oil platforms, you already have all the space you need within your nation’s borders. This bay looks like a good place to start drilling.

“Far into the see”? Where did you see this? That are 20 or 30 km. Build an island , then you can go more away from your coast.
And yes - in the real world may be this or that. Here in the OGF-world the land of Latina has set its claim (since 3 or 4 years). And too - there are some small islands in the oil-fields.
