I’ve given myself a little break from mapping, however in the meantime I have started working on a Polandball-styled map of OGF. If you don’t know, Polandball is an amatour, community-made style of comics starring the world’s countries. They often talk about current political happenings in a wacky fashion. Countries are represented mostly by (guess what?) balls (there are exceptions). Do you want to see the whole OGF world like that? Currently I’ve got the most of western Uletha:

I don’t really know what this is but I’m offended Myrcia has been missed! 😮

It’s basically an OGF-related artwork, based on Polandball-comic style, you can check it on Google. And I’d knew I’ll miss something! Myrcia will appear when I’ll finish the whole Uletha ;) .

A while back I did a countryball style ‘family portrait’ of the constituent parts of Calliesanyo. I’ll post it once I get back to my main computer.

Ah I see. I like the fact that this map has Sealand on it!

I love Polandballs and I’d love to see what your final version looks like. Good job!
You may remember that I had Agarderia as my discord picture before it collapsed.
You can find me on r/polandball by the name Yuanls and I’ll be happy to do commissions if requested.

How little we are! haha

I realize it’s not meant to be geographically accurate, but if the balls’ relative sizes are supposed to approximate the relative sizes of the countries they represent, remember that the Mercator projection used for the main OGF map is wildly inaccurate in this regard. In fact Sathria is larger than Norðurland; Alora is roughly twice the size of Galicja; etc, etc… If you want to get a sense of how big the countries really are, go back to the 3-D view Luciano shared last week and zoom out to see the globe.

If Drevet and Wustesonne are added, they’d probably be siblings trying to one-up each other.
Comment from trabantemnaksiezyc on 22 February 2017 at 10:33
@Isleño: I know about the distortion of Mercator, but is it really so big? Also, drawing all the countries so they border each other correctly (we don’t want Galicja bordering Kalm, do we?) is more of a concern for me than keeping them to scale - look at UL137, it’s tiny on my drawing! I cannot zoom out in the 3D view as the tiles aren’t loading for me.

Can Karolia be trying to ‘eat’ Meridonia when you get that far east?
