Refugee neighbourhoods needed for defectors

Posted by zhenkang on 1 April 2019 in English (English)

Given the extremely terrible human rights and economic situation in Antigo (I will spare the details for now), a handful of Antigoans will try to sneak out of the country. Only quite a few managed to survive the crossing (given the fact that our borders are well protected), and even if you cross to Pretany or any of the other two (unmapped) neighbours, they are not so friendly in letting you stay for too long (Pretany often treats Antigoans as second class, which is why Antigo prefers to keep out of Pretanic rule. Suria may not be, while Mazan is not a good place to live in, with arid deserts). The best bet for successful Antigoans who get out can seek refugee status at the AN office (is there a refugee one like the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees? Maybe I will ask bhj867 to map one.) in St. Richards (just across the border), and hopefully get to somewhere far from the regime all out to bring them back. (Watch out for the Antigoan spies!)

So, the AN may need to consider a few safe sites for resettlement of the Antigoan defectors. Will you set aside space in your city/town/country for an Antigoan District? It can as small as a few blocks, but doesn't need to be so large. It needs to be well protected as well, lest spies will suddenly raid the blocks and take out the Antigoans, so there needs to be a police station. Any country unfriendly to the regime is also welcome (lessen the chances of spies infiltrating).

Interesting idea. I will make sure to include a ,,Little Antigo'' on the main island of Maritime Pasalia State, Pasalia, Antarephia. Pasalia, and PMS even more is open for political refugees seeking liberty and peace. Plus being on an island makes it feel safer for the refugees probably. May come back to you for naming ideas later on (restaurant, shop names)

I suppose that my country (Sudharka, on the Uthyran coast, in Tarephia), is much too tiny to have a special neighbourhood for antigoan refugees, but your idea seems so interesting that I regret the weak size of my country and will try to create at least one quarter per continent (because Sudharka houses people of very diverse origins) or something of this kind. And then, why not, as "kingfries" comment suggested to me, ask people ruling different countries to name some restaurants and other places for expatriates... It's a great pleasure anyway to see that kind of collaborative projects unifying the OGF world.

Considering what kingfries said, The Community of Nalkor-Kochi, being relatively close to Pasalia, may be home for a few hundred or thousand Antigoans defectors.

I don't know much in details, but possibly there is some underground network of collaborators across Suriya, given the close relationship that these two nations once had...

Ok, after some thinking about this, I will share some info.

Antigoan names are generally German-like with a Roman twist. The words can be dervied from Arabic words molded into German.

There must be a Cuppa temple at every Antigoan neighbourhood. However, the sect of Cuppa isnt as extreme as the one in Antigo. So there are no child sacrifices, but a graveyard will be there for the late priests.

Just give me the location of the place and I will start building there.

The International District of Mision is specifically set up for this kind of thing (and embassies, of course), so it could work there
