I’ve been trying to work more on Litvania’s map.

This involved a changeset uploaded on Monday, which uploaded, and refused to show up on the map after a day. I know this is normal, I’m not a beginner. But, then I looked in JOSM if it had even saved as an actual changeset (keep in mind I had the “Upload Succesful!” message). It didn’t, and now I have to restart.

Frustrations aside, anybody had this problem before or maybe know what I did wrong?

It seems the north pole region is just sea, isn’t it?

I recently watched “The Terror”, a TV series from 2018 about Franklin’s lost expedition, and was thinking about how developed; if in any way, the northern regions of the OGF planet are.

I was thinking about what history it would have, what inhabitants, what ahem failed expeditions I can write about in the wiki ahem, and other stuff.

What do you guys think?

Anyone know how to fix this?

I’ve tried to reverse the way of the islet but that didn’t cut it. I haven’t found a solution anywhere yet.

Hello to all mappers,

I just wanted to say that I’m not dead yet - Litvania is still my country and I will continue developing it in the future, I’m just kinda busy with school and other things I’m pursuing, OGF currently isn’t one of those.

I hope you’re all doing well. I see my area has some new people around, and I welcome you, my name is Michal, I’m Polish and I own Litvania. You know, that annoying blob that has stayed the same for the past few months. Yeah, that’s it, that’s my country.

So yeah, just a quick update and I hope to be back soon.

I’ve had this problem recently, and it may be relevant to some of the newer users around here, so:

What system of road naming is consistent?

I thought of this one system for Litvania in April, where primary roads are S[number], secondary D[number], and tertiary are just numbers.

But where do these start? How do i keep it consistent?

I ask for suggestions and maybe new proposals, everything is welcome. Unnamed roads are boring.

With proper administration, of myself and others I promise that this time, it will work out. Don’t you wan’t to return to those “old-times”? Also, Telegram is amazing! Iv’e been using it for a year now, and it has been absolutely amazing at doing it’s job. There’s even a music bot where you can download and listen to music!

The people who caused trouble last time are no longer here, so what’s the problem? Are we all that antisocial? Come on. Proper admins are all we need to restore the wonders of the instant chat of OGF.

Hi, sorry for posting two a day, I can’t delete diary entries even if they’re mine.

I just wanted to ask fellow mappers for feedback on my lastest drawing, which will hopefully enter the map soon. It is meant to be a post socialist housing project with an ancient monastery in the middle of it south of the Lorava river, and has been partly started here.

I drew the river completely wrong, I know I’ll have to put something there as well.

Tell me whats missing, what i should make more realistic and so on…

I’m sorry but i can’t help but notice that it has been a year since I joined OGF! When I look back upon all the work I’ve done, I think it’s safe to say that I have made significant progress since my first few months here.

I was curious as to why there isn’t the new version of MediaWiki on OGF. All the previous wikis i’ve visited have upgraded long ago.

Is anyone interested in astronomy? Its been my passion since childhood, and it would be nice to know about and talk with some passionates on the subject.

The title of this entry is the peak of my humour guys, get used to it.

Nice holiday so far no? Been on a language camp in Berlin and then a sporting camp in Ińsko, Poland where I became a certified lifeguard. Next I’m departing with friends to sail up and down the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. A lot of Sea and marine related stuff this vacation.

Anyways I’ve been a little (just a teeny weeny little bit) inactive since May because of all this stuff, including my new passion physics and astronomy, and I don’t have my computer with me so I can’t edit. However, I’ve got some ideas as to what I want to do with certain areas of Litvania.

Pomorie (formerly Egalský kráj)

I decided to rename this one because it’s name could be confused with the Drabantian one in tourist adverts and stuff. So I simply took the Slovak word for “sea” - more - and added a “Po-“ prefix denoting a region or area.

The capital of this region is Jankovar, which I am struggling with a little bit with and might even move its position because it’s a bit awkward and unnatural. It makes the street grid and railways a bit hard to navigate naturally and logically with a city in a weird place like this. I might move it a bit to the south, nearer the coast, and on the shores of the inland seawater lake Moržíca (which I might rename Koblín) and build a small town of around 5,000 in the original position.

The entire region per se is going to be sort of modelled after the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship(my true native land). Because the Egalian Lake is a glacial lake, it means that obviously a glacier had to go over the land in this area and form it using its mass and power. That’s why there will be hills (a lot of them), post glacial period lakes, ponds and also marshes, and ancient culture megaliths. Small towns will dot the region and it might aswell be a popular local tourist destination for average Litvanians who seek peace and quiet in the untouched wilderness.
