Is there anything thats going to happen this year on OGF?

Also, would any aerospace companies in OGF (SAI, Watanabe etc..) like to sell some aircraft to Litvanka? So far Litvanka only posesses aircraft from the Litvanian Aerospace company, MIC Aerospace. (I have had this made-up company since i was about 6 years old)

I am looking for volunteers to design liveries (or a livery) for Litvanka. I do not posess the technical knowledge of photoshop to be able to implement my livery onto aircraft photos.

Hey Guys,

I have lately been working on an airline for Litvania. That is Litvanka Airlines, which will be the flag carrier. It is an airline that operates from Molburg-Ošina, and aims to fly all around the world, with serving at least two airports in every Ulethan country(if the country has two).

Ill start work on the wiki page later.

Another airline im working on is Horjene z.a, a regional airline based in Tirstená. It operates in and out of Litvania, flying mainly to tourist destinations. It an extremely popular low-cost Litvanian airlines, and will hopefully become the EasyJet of OGF.

All i need for you guys to help is destinations. If you want to add your airport(s) please leave a comment in the following format:

*You dont have to choose both, choose the one that suites your country’s location. For example, Horjene will not fly to Mahhal.

Hello Guys!

Hope you all have a great 2017, and that you do things that no one has ever done!

I only joined officially in like October, but i believe i have made huge progress (as well as mistakes) when working within Litvania. I have worked primarily on roads, railways, small towns, larger towns and a city, and geography. All these i believe have improved my skill in editing the Opengeofiction maps, as well as using them for editing OSM (i also contribute there).

I would like to thank certain people for there special efforts to help me and to help me understand certain things here at OGF.

@eklas - You helped me alot with getting Litvania into JOSM, which i was really happy about, however now things are okay, and it works when downloading and editing areas from the OGF map. You also did a great deal at the beginning, when i only joined, you sent me links to FAQ’s, you answered certain questions etc… I am really greatful for all your efforts in helping me to get accustommed to OGF.

@Luciano - You helped me with the video you posted on Youtube about how to use JOSM with OGF. It did great help, and now i know how to use JOSM a bit more.

@Demuth - You welcomed my concession idea, which i was expecting to be rejected violently by most other people.

Everyone else who helped me with thise magical site i am really thankful to, as a year before now, i was starting tomthink about creating one myself.

So yeah, thanks to you all. I am really appreaciative, and greatful for all you efforts.

Since its after Christmas, and its also before new year, i would just like to thank to all the admins and people who have helped me so far.

Its really been a pleasure working with you guys, and i extremely appreciate what you guys do here every day to make this website a better community. You put in all this effort and work into this website and its content, as well as community, that i really admire you and i am happy to be working on this website with such wonderful people.

The previous post on the Diary Entries (I was too lazy to look who it was), got me thinking.

What do you want your country to be the real world equivalent of?

I think of say, Drabantia as the equal to Czechia. I am aiming for Litvania to be a very similar country to Slovakia.

Why are the awkwardly placed countries like Slavonia, Florescenta, Scandmark and Swaldia so empty?

I thought a mapper was only allowed to work on 1 project, and when he/she works on one for considerable amount of time, and maps it out in enough detail, then he will be allowed to work on other territories.

Meanwhile @Andy breaks the rules, somehow aquires 5 territories, and leaves them half finished. Also i would like to know why he used multiple real place names in his mapping(Ljubljana, Zagorsk, Hastings, Königstein)

This is not an attack on @Andy, rather just constructive criticism.

I have a quick question:

Is it possible to enable editing in iD at zoom levels like 13 or 14?

It really is annoying when you im working on something, and then load a larger render, only to find a horrendous creation of “god-knows-what”.

Please explain why if it is not.

Thanks to @isleño ‘s recommendations, i started to work on a large county in Eastern Litvania. Its the Lurkov County. This is a small hilly region that is part of the Eastern Litvanian Highlands, and i just wanted to see if you have any tips or recommendations as what it looks like now, amd what it will be in the future.

I have neither the will or motivation to do it, as i want to spend more time on the more interesting area of Litvania such as the countryside.

So i thought, to practice my Inkscape mapping even more, i thought i would offer anyone who is having trouble creating general maps the opportunity to let me experiment and see what turns out best.

Do any of you have paper or digital maps of your country; or the OGF world itself, on paper or .svg, .png or .jpg files?

After looking at an Oxford Students Atlas i had the idea of having one for our world.

I know however, that our world is continuosly being changed, and is currently not even close to started. This would pose a problem, however i could update it time to time.

Your thoughts?

The OGF World is full of wonderful features such as this, this and these as well.

All of these have been accomplished using determination and effort, and have a really effective turnout.

@EMKLI mentioned this idea before!

However, it would be nice if we could take more inspiration from the real world. A good example of this would be the island stretching from Norðurland to ER137/138/139. They could stretch more, in fact why not have some sort of “Aleutian Islands” in that area. This would create a “Hesperic Ring of Fire”.

Or for example the South. Why not have a sort of Antarctica like land mass, that could be a collaborative territory, but basically that would make it divided by the different users’ countries.

Ive been thinking about us having our own sort of “Seed Vault”. Something similar to that of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, i would hope this to be built on the slope of “Lodovec”, a mountain in Litvania at 4698m a.s.l

This would have its own wiki article, and would obviously be on the map. Anyway, i have a lot of ideas nowadays. Let me know if your interested.

How fast dies time in OGF run in comparison to real time?

Im new, and i own UL108d, or Litvania. 2 things:

1.)Im hvong problems with JOSM, and this is urgent, so i need help. Whenever i dpwnload the data from the OGF server, it dosent show up a map, but a grid of red crosses. Ive made sure all the settings are correct, and they are.

2.)I am a bit dissapointed, because its been 3-4 days since i changed the name of my territory, and its still not changed.(Sorry if this offends the admins, however i am a bit impatient)

Anyway, a wiki will be up soon, so youll be able to know more about my nation sometime this year/month.
