Long time no see, so I have a problem, namely a problem with how stuff appears, check out for yourself

https://opengeofiction.net/#map=17/63.15464/47.52682 On the normal render, you can’t see the ‘zeegracht’ or the island in the middle of the of the lake, but change to topomap or histor, and you can.

I have tried everything that I know of, but I really don’t see what’s causing it, so is there someone out there who can help me fix this issue?

I just don’t know what it is, but I suck at sizing stuff, properly. When I look at this area, it just feels off. I tried several methods described here, but I just feel lost.

So, if someone could show me how they would resize it to something more… realistic? That would be awesome and I’d appreciate it.

I am also thinking about opening this nation up to others aswell, so we can map a Dutch/Germanic/Anglo nation together?

I am 232 edits in and it has been a while since I posted a ‘trailings of a beginner’ post, but I may just rename this series to ‘update’ or ‘Legendardisch Progress’ series in the future, but for now, Trailings of a beginner will do. Last time I let you go with a view of the Central Station of Endeavour and the town of Reinoud. What has changed since then??

Endeavour

The biggest grower I think is the city of Endeavour. Just take a look

We have some parks and the city on Middel Eilandt has grown. You can also see the border of the Autonomous City Regions or Stadsdelen (Admin # 3 = state, 4 = water boards, 5 = Municipal, 6 = Autonomous City Region OR town/village etc)

So Endeavour is a city in the state of Staats-Stad in Legendardisch with 3 auto. city regions, Middel Eilandt, Haeven and Arend.

Anyway, I am planning out the harbor, its not final but a rough… sketch?

Hello, so I think a proper introduction is at place, is it not? My name is Legendardisch, I traverse places like r/worldbuilding and Nationstates, I have come to learn about OGF via r/worldbuilding. So I like to write and build worlds. I had a lot of issues with JOSM but I have learned to do stuff in iD and Potlach 2. Currently I am working on my fictional nation Legendardisch inside of OGF.

First town

So the first town what worked on was Reinoud, a small town north of the capital, it was a playingfield for me, to try and understand the editors. There are some errors, but I will work on Reinoud later on

You can find Reinoud here , every building is hand drawn and most houses have a house number. Some other things I need to do is put in the municipal borders and suburbs/neighborhouds, But I haven’t grasped the whole relation system yet, but it will come!

Hello, so my interest for OGF sparked again, but sadly is reached a blockade. I can’t seem to set up JOSM for OGF properly, the FAQ is not as much of a help either and now JOSM is complaining about proxies for some reason. So the problem is this: I have pointed JOSM to the OGF servers, but nothing seems to happen, JOSM doesnt pull data from OGF at all, and the map downloading thing as background also seemed to fail. Can someone explain me step by step how I would set up JOSM for OGF? I’d appreciate it.

Hello so I am new here, while an avid world builder, I am not used to JOSM but from what I have read I should be able to do stuff in it. Anyhow the problem is with the connection stuff and just generally editing the map. I cant get a background from the map loaded: its all crossed with big red X’es and basically I dont know how to work with it

What is supposed to happen when I connect JOSM to the api? How can I load the map in?
