UPDATE 8/23/17: The motorways themselves are done in both cities, although I worked off of two existing, half-built, half-under-construction highways in Darsons. Still, I have been working on them non-stop for three days, and I’m glad to say that these cities’ motorways have been finished.

My plans have been sorta like Robert Moses’, without destructing neighborhoods. Ayala is modern, so it will demolish roads in the central city, but the cars still can use the new HUGE motorway to get there without having to walk more than a third of a mile. (Seeing distance)

The Ayala Thruway has further reached Kalabag, as those cities neighbor each other. I didn’t want to just make a 2-mile long stretch of a HUGE UNDERGROUND THRUWAY, so I extended it into Kalabag, and revamped the motorways to act like an outer beltway. (more like inner towards the top though)

Darsons was not 100% successful. I’ve changed plans over and over again, renaming and referencing the roads differently each time. But, I eventually figured it all out. Basically, there are two beltways: 1. The Inner Beltway 2. The South Beltway The South Beltway was called ‘I-706S,’ for South I-706. They put a cardinal direction in interstate numbers sometimes, so I did it this time. It was the original beltway, but when I saw Darsons as a whole, that’s where plans got out of whack.

As I was building my nation, I wondered whether to build the smallest cities first or just start with the huge metropolises (I think that’s correctly spelled). As I was thinking, is it easier to build the outlines to the city and motorways first (Assuming all the nature is planned out) or is it easier to build each city one by one with every street named? I really don’t know how to build my nation st this point anymore. Please help me. I am currently building my nation province by province, but is there a more effective way to do this?

Additionally, I seem to have done something to delete my country name from the map, does anyone know how I can fix it? Do I just have to go to every part of my border and fix my Administrative Boundary relation and Multipolygon? [Zoom out from map.]

Hey all, I just aquired some new territory, TA091b, calling it Dogardland, and I was wondering about any help and advice people could give about building cities in the area, placing buildings and all what I might need in a city. I have a more or less quick question about, well; I guess the title says it all. I’m not even sure if it’s possible, but I think I’ve seen something like this on the wiki a couple of times, but I might be wrong. The closest thing I actually found was Luciano’s “old” RUTA-VC map, and I wonder whether similar things are possible without an external script. For my personal liking I wouldn’t need to click on the map and have extra info displayed; I’m looking for a way to have a osm-data-fed map that displays route relations for Kojo’s intercity railway services, so I don’t have to bother poor paint (rest in peace) every time I do a tiny change to the network.

Hi everyone, I wanted to show you some artistic views and short animations of the Planet showing its hypothetic physical aspect, the bottom of the oceans and the clouds layer. These are not official views but just a personal interpretation ( with certainly many mistakes) showing how I imagine this Planet. I did this with Photoshop but I’ve recently discovered “PlanetGen” a light sofware that allows to convert a flat map into a sphere. Plus it spins authomaticly without doing anything. ;) link to other views

During a lull in my mapping work, I’ve redesigned the state emblem of Agarderia during the communist period (1946-1985). Although it is better than the old emblem, it still looks a bit dodgy, although I can’t put my finger on exactly what the problem is. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hey All, so, I’m still in Singapore so I can’t take on big projects, but it has given me time to look back retrospectively on aspects of Tierajas-Verdes, and one thing I have NEVER been happy with is the mountain region to the west of the country, as seen on the map if you click the Location link. I could never get it to look right even in a Macro scale, and I put that down to never really finding a good reference to work off for the mountains.

I will probably only start work on this once back from holiday on the big computer at home, but I want to know some places I can reference mapped in OSM or OGF, that can influence how I style my mountain mapping. I’m looking for like a Sub-tropical rain-forest looking mountain range, or just any with a really high concentration of trees.

Or alternatively, if anybody could give me some tips on how to draw them in a sort of OSM style, I’d love that too!

There’s not much news from my side currently. However, I wanted to send a sign of life that Norðurland, Liboria and Yleväkivet still aren’t abandoned and vacant.

However, I’m still quite disappointed that the User Diaries still seem to be the Nr. 1 location to get and drop information (at least, nothing else seems to be promoted on the site). For non-permanent-active members, this is - still - a massive pain… There is no thematic ordering, no way to scroll back quickly or to get back to a certain topic… For a community like this, a forum woild be a good place, albeit quite “antiqe” nowadays… I didn’t know how the chat/forum dispute at the beginning of the year was solved finally, but at a quick glance, nothing seems to have changed in the last half year.

Concerning my plans for the rest of the year, I started to (re)map parts of the region north-east of Frjálshöfn, including a new airport under construction which will replace both the international and national airports in Frálshöfn city. Currently, I’m also designing road signs for Norðurland. My main focus will be on the small country with the unspeakable name between Norðurland and Slavonia. I want to finish something here in OGF and Norðurland is too big to get this success in the next 5 to 10 years… ;-)

I have started to move the embassies in Guai from their current ungrouped relations type to a set of nodes grouped in a [dedicated relation] (http://opengeofiction.net/relation/76439). The purpose is, of course, to manage them more easily in JOSM but also in the corresponding Wiki article.

I started with using Mstr’s automated tables but switch to using a regular #get_web_data so that I can concatenate values from “addr:street” & “addr:housenumber” in one single column and displayed “name:en” below the original “name”. On this table, I’m facing two issues:

• The table is not necessarily updated when new members are added to the relation. It does not even display the same results when I’m logged in and when I’m not. I’ve added #clear_external_data but it doesn’t seem enough.

• I cannot “Order by” country the table so that the result is displayed by node @id by default (e.g. Broceliande Embassy and Cultural Centre are shown separately). Apparently, data should be sorted before being uploaded on the table. For xml file, it appears you need to code in xPath which doesn’t contain “order by” operator but a function expression.addSort. My coding knowledge having reached its limits, does anyone know how this could be embedded in the query?

I thank you a lot if someone’s got some clue on how to fix these two issues.

Hello guys. Today’s is the 52nd year of independence in Singapore- 9 August, the day Malaysia expelled Singapore and we are independent, like unexpectedly. My nation is commemorating the event through a National Day Parade, to read more see here.

I want to ask, in your countries, do you all celebrate national day, or some national event like ‘Democracy day’, Freedom day’. ‘King’s xx Birthday’ etc.? Write down those dates below!

How does your country celebrate that event? Is it like a parade in front of a palace, or something else? Are there performances? Besides that, what does your country do leading up to the event?

In Singkangia, two days were celebrated: ‘Republic Day’ and ‘Freedom day’. Republic Day was celebrated since the fall of the Singkangian Nationalists and the start of being a ‘socialist republic’ on 13 June, while ‘Freedom Day’ marks the end of communist rule in Singkangia on 31 August. I still have not set up a venue for such events, maybe that will be part of my next stage of mapping my main city in Singkangia.

I will also like to see the locations where these celebrations took place.

Hey everyone, I’m having some issues with JOSM. I have a lake in my country that has two small islands on it, but I’m trying to upload a new version of this area where I have done more work, including more detail on the shore and the islands, and I am receiving the error “coastline inside natural=water, 2 objects: Lake”. I’m assuming this error is referring to the two islands in the lake, but I’m not sure what the problem is, given as far as I can tell they have the exact same tags as the previous versions of the islands. The entire object is a big multipolygon, labelled as “natural=water”, with two inner polygons forming the islands. I can’t really tell what the problem is.

What am I doing wrong? Should I just hit upload despite the error? I’d appreciate some advice.

When I zoom in, all but a quarter of my nations land is blue. I didnt edit the coastlines to do this, this could have been someone else. If someone can figure out the problem near Ferran, and a few other places, that would be appreciated.
