So, this part of ocean in an area I recently modified is acting up and a bit of ocean that is and always was ocean shows up as land.

Interestingly, the southern edge of this area is a straight line starting at this node and ending at this one, which are approximately the ends of the modified area. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Afternoon everyone,

I need to fix some unauthorized edits in Wustesonne. Is there a way I can ‘Undo’ or restore the area to it’s previous state?

Hello all! I’ve just made my first Bliki Blog on the wiki today (Ohhhhh now I get the name…seriously :P It only just came to me) which should replace somewhat monthly updates on my progress everywhere, offering more opportunity for you all to comment on anything to help or just give positives ^^. Updates might be semi-frequent…meaning anywhere between every week to every month.

So, for the past one and a half month I’ve been working on the district of Ráj nad Mlžnicí and now I’m ready to share it with the world. Best enjoyed at zoom level 13.

Below is some info about the region.

Landscape and nature

• Forests. They cover the vast majority of the region.
• Hills and mountains. The area is full of cliffs, tall peaks, wild streams as well as peaceful rivers running through majestic valleys.
• Marshes and swamps. Most of them are under strict protection. They’re home to many endemic animal and plant species.
• Meadows and pastures The soil is not very fertile, which means animal agriculture is prevalent.

Notable places

• Teplá nad Křižvou. A lovely town of five thousand inhabitants, known for its old monastery and mineral water springs.
• Ráj nad Mlžnicí-Šatava. These two times grew into one over time. Ráj is now the capital of the district. Its romantic old town, the Šatava castle and the tall railway bridge attract thousands of tourists each year.
• Kutry. In case you couldn’t tell, it’s one of the most popular ski resorts in Drabantia. And while Drabantian mountains obviously aren’t the tallest in the world, good service and reasonable prices make it a favorite spot of many.
• Razníky mountains. The tallest peak, Velký Razník (1562 m), is also the tallest in the country. One would expect the mountains to be a popular winter holiday destination- but most of the range is nowadays a national park and another big portion serves as a military training area.
• Narrow gauge railway Lotrovice - Šumná na Boravě. The steepest curve on this railway has only about 90 meters in radius. It should have been deconstructed years ago, but thanks to the local train enthusiasts it’s still used for nostalgic steam train rides until today.

I have been working on Midistland for weeks now. I’ve worked not only on very minor parts of Tengah and Termapolis, but… I created many of the towns surrounding Tengah! That includes… Traysville, Bethesda, and Motorway Island. Please understand that I am experienced, even though I have only been here for a couple weeks. So, I am therefore moving on from the Tengah region in Midistland to Khaiwoon. Khaiwoon is SO perfect. I love everything about it. The cartography, the mountains, the swirves and curves… It’s really cool! So, I am requesting privileges for building with my Khaiwoon friends, isleno. I hope you listen to this, isleno! Thank you! Hello Mappers!

I am inviting experienced mappers to help with developing New Berles in Drevet into a ‘showcase city’ to encourage collaboration in Drevet and in other parts of the world.

The goal is to establish a small-medium sized city of 250,000 to 300,000 people with a small harbor and a regional/small international airport. The city center was established in the 18th Century and pre-dates modern urban planning.

This project can be broken into smaller chunks. However, work on the historical center, or suburban towns must be the first piece of this project taken on.

I’ve been having great fun with Overpass API the last few days.

Does anyone have any good scripts to share? Any advice on using it?

I created this one to give me an idea of the road networks in Dunwic.

Opinions and constructive criticism are, obviously, welcome. My further plans with Bend is to develop Schugel suburb with some sort of residential projects divided in some sort of blocks or sections divided by boulevards. Any ideas/opinions on that?

Hello mappers! I have been working on a possible map of tectonic plates in OGF. I would like to know your opinion about it. There are many possibilities for the location of the tectonic plates and the direction of the displacement of these influences the existence of rifts and mountains, as is the case of the central mountain range in Uletha and the high mountains of the north of Castilea Archantea, in the Center of Archanta Major. There’s a website in the Czech Rep, where you can watch what’s happening at the Prague Central and Ústí nad Orlicí stations. The videos are given commentary by the announcement lady with an incredibly tranquilizing voice, as recorded from the station building. I find this really interesting (also it’s snowing so the stations look pretty), so I just wanted to share.

Kingsbury has been the featured map over the last fortnight, an honour I was delighted to receive.

That said, it can always be better, and so I’ve spent much of the last few days working on adding more details. From buildings, offices, shops, and clubs; the city now looks more filled-in and alive. But i’ve also been working on adding those small things that add reality to a map, and are a reality of city life, such as payphones, pillar boxes, bus stops, and bins. It’s fiddly work, but definitely worth the effort.

My next challenge to resume adding the streets in the various outer suburbs of the city. Something i’m not looking forward to, since getting curvy suburban streets to look accurate has been beyond me so far

My recent obsession in OGF seems to be air travel. I mean it. I have created 5 airlines that are based in Litvania already, with barely enough mapping to support that. I need your advice. What should i do? I want to help the OGF world develop its aviation industry, for more airports, more developed and structured Callsigns, Airport Codes.

Entry 30/01/17

Spent all day in the field today. The team caught a terrible cold, and i had to do most of the work for the mission. Hiked up the West Peak aswell, and admired the blizzard for about 30 seconds, before eventually walking back down the slope in a hurry, to get to the warm comfort of the dorms.

The research for today was complete, but was really messy and unorganized. Unfortunately, Mr. Špihlerov will not accept that as an excuse. We are boarding a Cosmos(Litvanka’s ultra long haul aircraft) MIC-L300 for Loravia via Latina in 2 days. Apparently its already on its way.

Anyway, ill write tomorrow, when the sun will set at 15:00PM.

Nashledanou Dennikou

A new town Nahoniakburg is being built on the site of what used to be Natesville in Rhododactylia (which appears to have disappeared in a cloud of white smoke). I have rebuilt a couple of roads and added a new town POI node. Rather than do the rebuilding myself, I’d like to see two or three people collaborate to build it. Remember, don’t use real world trademarks/company names. If you don’t know what to name something, fill in the other tags (add a cuisine for fast food/restaurants) and let me know what needs naming.

• Scarborough’s is our replacement for S***b**ks (amenity=cafe, cusine=coffee_shop).
• All-n-One is our replacement for W**-M**t or T****t.
• Fast food: Quick Chicken, Dextraze’s Pizza & More (the latter more or less our replacement for D****o’s; both QC and Dex’s are owned by the same company in our world, I frequently put both next door but you don’t have to), Captain Burrito (replaces T**o B**l but I guess could replace Q***a or Ch*****e too), Plympton’s Burgers (Mc*****d’s replacement), AwesomeBurger (intended as a Wh*******er replacement), Sally’s Sandwiches, Witchell’s ‘Witches (both rough replacements for S****y), Central Coast Fried Chicken (our semi-replacement for K******y Fried Chicken), Riptide Seafood.
• Convenience store brands: 24 Mart (for 24 hour locations only), Zippy Mart, Kangaroo jack’s. Don’t be afraid of using a one-off with a random name or a nearby street name especially for c-stores, a lot of them are independents in the real world as well.

Can people stop editing Natesville? It’s my city, thank you for understanding.

Hello to all fellow mappers and the admins, This is a Chinese New Year Message from the mapper of zhenkang. I wish all of you a happy Lunar New Year.

I hoped that for the following year, we will collaborate more and better to create a more realistic world rather than have some countries being so isolated that they had seemingly no relations with the outside OGF world (possibly they did not have time to write about foreign relations).

Secondly, hopefully mappers will not just spend too much time on mapping, but have an equal balance to write short yet explanatory articles about their wonderful countries. I wish that there will not be just multiple sub-standard articles, but rather one or two coherent articles. Also, they can also request others to help develop their articles, based on what they wanted written on the article. This is another way I believed that is another way of collaborating.

Last thing is to clear up a little misunderstanding of Babelic People. I doubt the Babelic people come from Commonia or either West Commonia (maybe I would write an article about the people and their customs in the future), but came from somewhere I don’t really know, maybe from one of those unmapped continents. As Luciano told me, ‘I would like to just add a very large caveat to this discussion: it is not clear or established that the home of “chinese” (Babelic) culture in OGF world is Commonia. I personally don’t like the idea. I’d rather see some true “China” created someday, somewhere - maybe in the Western Continents. In fact, when I created Babelic, it was not meant to be Chinese, but rather a “contact culture” like the Vietnamese, Japanese or Koreans, who used the Chinese Characters for writing, but which was linguistically distinct. I have always called Chinese in OGF “Sinian”. I’m happy to let go of this concept, but just so you have some alternate perspective.’ I should thank Luciano for giving the green light to take over the wiki work on the Babelic language.

I would like to thank all the participants of the 2016 Sez-Mareb Rally that took place during the last week of December in Neo Delta! More than 20 countries participated and I chose the winners based on the amount of content on racing that each country has produced and also the maturity of the countries, i.e., countries with more details mapped.

It was not an easy choice, so I picked up some other nice countries to be winners of one of the stages of the rally.
