As much as I call Planoria the OGF Canada, what other countries in OGF are like canada?

Okay, so i’m extremely curious about the ogf’s world’s history, and not a lot is written about the days before humans. What roamed the OGF world? What did it look like?
I have one map i made of what i think the OGF pangea would look like

Detailing is the the craziest part of detailing an OGF map for me
Posted by plainoldbread on 12 September 2018 in English.I just started detailing around the borders and my fingers hurt from putting down nodes. Even if I wanted to place like a bunch of towns, it’ll still be a lot of work. Not sure if it’s the same for others, but it really makes my hands tired.
Tyski and Roliqua haven’t mapped since 2017 I think. I’m not sure if theyre gonna come back on.
I've decided to turn the country i made a year ago called montaga into a collaborative nation.
Posted by plainoldbread on 15 August 2018 in English. If anyone would like to help, send me a private message telling me you want to help. The entire island is a bit hilly and a bit mountanous in the central areas. Cities are semi big but not too big. Central cities are much smaller and curvier due to the constant hills and mountains. The highways are always by the coast due to the incline of the mountains being either too steep or theres cliffs around to not fit a car or truck.
If your interested in helping me with this project send me a private message, and your discord tag (user#6969) for example. so we can talk.
Also i’d like to do maps of the elevation of montaga
How many people even mapped in the south pole?
Posted by plainoldbread on 15 August 2018 in English.I’d like to know
The OGF discord failed, my own Planorian Discord failed. What’s the point?
I really think I can replicate a lot of Canada in the small space I have, so here’s some of my plans:
Southern Planoria
I feel like Planoria needed some kind of northern Ontario feel. So I plan on making it have a bunch of lakes and small towns. Since Planoria isn’t at that winter year long area, I decided to add some big towns but nothing bigger than 100,000.
Northern Planoria
This entire area needs some more detail, I plan on adding more parks to the area and tourist attractions due to me wanting the area more touristy. I’d add farms around the roads but not too much. I want to try and keep it realistic and touristy along the coastline, while still keeping a realistic feel to the rest of the country
Theme Parks
Yeah honestly would fit into Northern Planoria if I didn’t mention I only have 1. I want to at least have a couple around Planoria, especially Northern Planoria. So Far I wanna make the biggest theme park near the capital because that’s the most amount of people which would make the park enough money to be big. I’m using this reasoning because in the real world theme parks would be in cities with a lot of people and relevancy, like how Disneyland is in Los Angeles instead of Sacramento, and why Canada’s Wonderland is incredibly close to Toronto.
I’d like to know your thoughts on my plans.
I’m starting to get back into OGF. I’m working on some stuff in my country. I realized I only have one operational airport in Planoria, So i’m gonna have to make another one just because people don’t find driving across far areas that great for them. I kinda see how everyone else’s airports are much more detailed and I look at my sadly basic airport, should I upgrade that or build a new one?
Whenever I try to click on a way in iD editor it wont get selected.
iD editor keeps putting it into a bright setting. Can someone help me get it back to what it was before?

A checklist for new mappers starting a country (Inspiration and making the country)
Posted by plainoldbread on 28 November 2017 in English. For real, this is some tips I do have for new mappers out there, unsure of what to build, i’d like to simplify the process for you, starting with the easy part INSPIRATION. What is your country based on? If the united states pops into your head you would go and place highways, but actually America was just forests and strange coastlines, the only reason the highways are all scattered is because of America’s urbanization on the land. So what should I do? One thing is to look around at roads in america, one place you’d never look is kentucky or west virginia, in those states there are a lot of hills, and highways have to follow the hill in order to go a specific way, so be bob ross and set your imagination wild. We are at the next step, unleashing your inner bob ross, now add realistic forests and mountains to your map, remember, don’t make it too filled with nature, because you need your towns and cities later, after you’re done, try mapping out a few towns and cities, but put it on rivers. America does this a lot, same with other countries with many rivers.
Here we are, the last part, designing your amazing flag, it might take some time to perfect but trust me, no flag is perfect.
(I might be untrustworthy but given me reading more ogf wiki articles i correct my past mistakes by filling up parts i left blank with amazing stuff, and in the end it looks, well okay.)
I'd like to ask; what kind of traffic lights are in your country?
Posted by plainoldbread on 7 November 2017 in English. So you can show an image or just describe them.

If you have a specific list of different kinds varying by state, you can.
When I have enough detail on my first country to try mapping a new one what should it be?
Posted by plainoldbread on 6 November 2017 in English.I’m thinking something european style, but with an entirely made up language that I created specifically for the country. I might go on both sides with this, should it have 2 languages or 1
I am really unsure if my work is still unrealistic, but I never really mapped some kind of hotel as detailed as this, so I ask if you think it is nice?
The entire area has an edited coastline which is kind of more realistic, than my other builds. (The entire area is based off of Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana, and Sunscape in Montego Bay Jamaica)
I mapped some islands as a future area where the hotel would have scuba diving and a bar nearby just in case the guests would like a drink after they scuba dive.
Other work I have made is a small little trailer park for a friend here.
My friend mapped a park nearby and I added some scenic trails.
I have done some other stuff on Planoria, first off I remade the lake to be realistic.
How is it?
Incident
I was making an airport, and I saved my work, somehow the Airport wont show up, and little parts of it will show.
Any help on this? (Sorry for such a short post)
Apology for all the short text posts i've been making.
Posted by plainoldbread on 12 July 2017 in English.Hi All I am truly sorry for distrupting the user diaries with short posts every now and then. I have brought it down to this: Either have a seperate website to post my updates to or you’d just view my profile for it, I am not sure about how I can cut down on the posts, maybe you can tell me what I should do. Should I put my progress on a site or in a video, or just make my profile a place to see what i’ve done.
I’ve decided to use up the empty space and make towns, I have created Windham in one of the enclaves. I’m thinking it would have about 100,000 people living there, some old history of Planoria owning some of the land surrounding the enclaves, and some kind of city square to remember who protected Windham and Alligator Pond from enemy forces. http://opengeofiction.net/#map=18/-47.00169/65.51532 Second one in location
I was making some counties in JOSM, and none of them rendered. Any help?
