Hello, Can someone create a video (walkthrough) on how to use JOSM for editing the OpenGeofiction map and displaying the OpenGeofiction map as background in JOSM? The section of it in the FAQ is a bit hard to understand.

Hi! I’ve done an airport. I have never been on one (and hopefully i won’t need to), so I’d like to ask you is it okay. I know it is really basic and propably lacks some major feature, but hopefully with your advice I can do better. What do you think? Is it possible to enable editing in iD at zoom levels like 13 or 14?

It really is annoying when you im working on something, and then load a larger render, only to find a horrendous creation of “god-knows-what”.

What railway gauge(s) does your country use? I’m just curious, sorry if this has been discussed before.

Drabantia uses three gauges:

• 1435 mm - vast majority of tracks
• 1000 mm - trams in smaller cities/towns (they’re not mapped yet)
• 760 mm - industrial spurs and railways in mountainous areas (they’re also not mapped yet, heh)

These people on this website seem really nice! I have a few qustions:

-How do I officially make my city? (I dont have a territory yet) -Where should I start for the world lore (I like to read as chronologicaly as possible)?

As the majority of you guys know. This world is extremely wealthy when compared to earth because most people want a country that is rich. Of course I felt the urge to build a United States like country since I live in the U.S, and I am sure it is the same for msot of you guys. I so far have not made any extremely wealthy countries but made two nations that likely will be middle of the road. Hoppon somewhere between China/Malaysia/Eastern Europe levels of development. Lallemand, better than most African nations but still pretty poor. I want to ask more specifically if any of you guys implement poverty into you mapping. By what I mean, extremely wealthy areas even in a high density situation are lower density (30 apartments per floor vs. 4) while poor areas are a lot higher density. This is not true across the board but can be followed in any country that isn’t the U.S.

Also as someone who is interested in criminal activity (don’t take this the wrong way), just as much as city planning. Almost every city I build have accompanying murder rates to follow. I was wondering how is criminal activity in your country. Who commits crimes? Is it poor immigrants? Is it teenagers or young adults? Or is it middle aged men (gangsters)? Is it rural people moving to an urban environment? How do gangs normally start in your country, or is there even any gangs?

I added three states to Palaseskia and the names are not showing up. I tried refreshing a long time later, but they are still not showing up. I did name them though.

I can see the borders, but not the names.

Hey there, Welcome to OGF, I’d like to remind you of some short things:

1st: CALM…DOWN… we all do mistakes, no ones gonna rip your head off for doing mistakes.

2nd: CALM….DOWN… Yes we saw that deleted coastline or messed up border etc., no thats not a reason to panic or be ashamed or whatever. Also mind that OGF tends to take its time so checking the next morning should be early enough to proudly look at your mapping results.

3rd: CALM…….DOWN…. Everyone starts from the bottom, but before asking if we are ok with every little detail It’d be useful if you read through the help pages and wiki articles before. Maybe that’ll help you decide, afterall if its not unrealistic its ,your’ country (if you claimed your own already) and you can do whatever you have planned.

I have a question especially to the admin team. My edits north of the polar circle take unusually long to be seen on the map during the last days and were only partly completed (the rendering process seemed to stop an a certain line which randomly(?) matches with the northern polar circle). Currently, it took more than one day even on the higher zoom levels until the content shows up, and somehow, on one zoom level, the map wasn’t updated for three days. And some edits around the Frederikshöfn area show up only partly on different map styles and only different zoom levels, too. I’ve never experienced that kind of weird rendering behaviour. Were/are there any rendering problems? And in general, what are the rendering intervals for the map?

While I was editing my territory, I began to notice huge swaths of water where land should be. After checking parts of my coastline that I recently worked on, I realized that the continent of Uletha seems to have been flooded elsewhere.

Can someone please resolve the problem for me? Thanks.

Even though I did the country naming, it still says UL015h and not Palaseskia.

I did what I was suppose to do in order to make the map show it is Palaseskia, but it isn’t working. Is there a reason?

Thanks to @isleño ‘s recommendations, i started to work on a large county in Eastern Litvania. Its the Lurkov County. This is a small hilly region that is part of the Eastern Litvanian Highlands, and i just wanted to see if you have any tips or recommendations as what it looks like now, amd what it will be in the future.
