I have to ask a question of general interest.

Are you able to tell me which and how many are the space centers in OGF? By “spatial centers” I mean those of great dimensions and global interest like, in RW, the Kennedy Space Center (Florida), Bayqoñyr (Kazakhstan), Kourou (Guyana) and Jiquan (China).

I ask this because my intention is to insert one in the map of the Republic of Gardensa. This is also because it is a territory suitable for this, because of its tropic-equatorial position.

The candidate place is in the eastern flat land between the Carminio Lake, the Western Rain Forest and the sea, here. Obvioustly I can modify the nearest towns and infrastructures.

However, before mapping it, I have to involve all you, because a launch base is not just for one country and, for reasons of real likelihood, there must not be too many in OGF. If there were already several, I would not put mine.

Moreover, since the Republic of Gardensa is small (even if it has a large city, Giliarca), it is clear that it would be a base that hosts space launches on behalf of other countries (this would be very important for the budget of the Republic of Gardensa).

So, short question: how many (and which) space centers or launch bases are already present in OGF? If I put one in Gardensa, it would alter some balance?

Anyways, this is a question geared toward those REALLY talented with computers: If I wanted to somehow type my writing system, how could I create the glyphs to do so? I think this is something that could very much help move my country along!

Here’s the thing: If I could, I’d go back in time, slap myself in the face, and say, “Don’t name your country Peaceland.” The name feels unrealistic, and it was more based on a history I scrapped a while ago. I’ve considered changing the name, but my worry is that my country will then feel like a completely different country from the one I’ve been working on for about a year. I also feel like I could make the name work somehow, but that may just be unnecessary work, especially since a name is based on history; not the other way around. Should I change the name?

I am wondering what to use for scale on a standard residential block. So far I’ve been using about 150 meters across the short side. Is this OK?

Yesterday, 13th November was the day I signed up for OGF. 2018 has been quite an eventful year for me, whether in OGF or in real life.

For starters, I had a brief amnesty back on the wiki, before getting banned again. I had fun, however, developing some content for Singkangia. Anyway, after my 2nd wiki ban, I decided to totally drop Singkangia, since it is pointless for me to continue what I don’t really enjoy, and moved on to the Pretanic Faction State, where I have greater fun developing the Briarmacks’ cult of personality, develop slums for the lower-class, and create Soviet-style neighbourhoods for the middle-class. (Hey, that is socialism to you!) It is fun collaborating with bhj867 as well, though he may not be active on PFS all the time, and also other mappers in the country.

What I have also done this year is to create a metro system for Antigo City, created some detailed forest covers, and other notable structures including the border city of Daulselon (meant to imitate Kaesong).

I have also grown closer with other mappers, such as oneofbeatlefan, developer of Wallea; TCC, guardian and fixer of various parts of Commonia (whom you better not argue with); Zekiel/Trombonist 2003, who has redone his capital multiple times and also doing other parts of Beaumontan (establishing Antigo-Beaumontan ties in the process), and other notable people which have also given sufficient guidance to my mapping and plans (e.g. Austinhuang, Eklas, Eretra, Ernestposcby, Stjur, Luciano etc). Also thanks to Eklas for the railway tutorial, to newbies designing railways, please read them!

I was wondering of the presence of any website/software that allows me to start working on a wiki for a country while I am waiting for the country. Will I be able to work on it on some program then copy and paste it over?

a new diary entry just to ask you if you’d like to take a look at my country, Brennland. I’m working on two fronts: high detail in the capital city, Brig (and in the almost finished town of Freienfeld), and sketching the basic geographical features of the country. Brennland has plenty of mountains in the northern part and along the greater part of its boundaries, except from the south, where river Brenne flows between smooth hills.

Just take a look and leave a feedback, it would be highly appreciated. Just remember that it’s “work in progress” ;-)

I’ve been using the scale helper and been measuring everything with great care but I am still unsure about the scale of it all, especially because the surroundings are so different proportionally, like the intersection next to the hamlet that I did not create.

First off, actually how is a nuclear weapon base designed? What do you think a nuclear base should have? Because I have plans to create sites for nuclear testing for the Pretanic Faction State (the name will be changed soon), but so far I have seen a barely mapped nuclear site from North Korea: osm.org/#map=14/41.2264/129.1105. Is it because all nuclear sites are underground?

Anyway, does your nation have ever possessed nuclear weapons, or at least have ambitions to possess some and hence created such test sites? Or let’s reduce to a milder level: Does your country also do nuclear power? Show some of the nuclear power plans/ test sites if necessary.

I am not going into further details about Antigo’s nuclear weapons programme, without any consensus yet from bhj867.

I am having trouble loading up JOSM. Can somebody teach me?

I’ve been trying to calculate distance between 2 areas of my country and just dragged the marker (typing the thing usually leads it to somewhere else i don’t need it) and no matter where I put it I keep getting the “Couldn’t find a route between those two places.” even though all roads are connected.
