My JOSM is not working, even though I followed all of the steps (which included downloading some other things too). Is there a step which I did wrong/missed?

Is there a China in ogf yet? I’ve recently restarted whatever existed in my country and my origin being Chinese and my decent understanding of Mandarin and China, I feel I could be able to create an OGF china. I’ve been off mapping on ogf for a long time as I joined way too young to even have a good grasp of what makes a good map, I’ve played around on Cities Skylines and on paper, I feel I can start mapping for good this time. If I’m not good enough to make one I’ll just keep on trying to make my nation but I’d like too know if you think I could be capable of accomplishing this task

I started mapping an area in my country (Liria) and I don’t know how am I doing it. I like super-detailed things so I use iD. In the island (the link is down) I want to make two little towns + 3 very little ones (50-100 inhabitants) is it too much for such a little island?

I just started detailing around the borders and my fingers hurt from putting down nodes. Even if I wanted to place like a bunch of towns, it’ll still be a lot of work. Not sure if it’s the same for others, but it really makes my hands tired.

I’ve read ToS, however, i’ve read the ToS but i never got it so: Your creations are yours, Or is OGF’s property?

Hi, I’m CharlieG, owner of Artenia. Currently, my country is based on Ingerish like many other countries around the OGF World. I only know one other language–Hebrew–and Artenia was supposed to be a sort-of second Israel, but even newer (i.e. created in the 70’s) and less complicated (see the golan heights syria border and palestine disputed border). But, I did not choose Hebrew as mapping in Ingerish seemed the better thing to do, assuming that my country is first-world, new, and connected to many other Archantan countries. (and even farther countries)

I have stated in some Wiki articles that Native Artenian is a language–one that I haven’t made my mind up for how it is structured. This is when YouTube came into the picture.

DONG, a YouTube channel spread widely (with 1.6M subs), uploaded a video that showcased a language creator that was specific to your needs. It is called vulgarlang.com and you can buy it or try the demo online. I think this could be helpful for many people so that they can get together a whole language without needing to know another one. I sure could use this once I get to Native Artenia, but, for now, I’ll share it with the OGF World.

I created a town border for the shown town, based on how they are tagged in OSM. But it’s not showing in OGF. How can I get it to show up?

Tyski and Roliqua haven’t mapped since 2017 I think. I’m not sure if theyre gonna come back on.

It’s time for this month’s mapping challenge. I know a large percentage of our OGF members are either back in school or fairly recent graduates, so it seems fitting to have this month’s theme be about education!

Your challenge this month is to create an educational institution and draw it in high detail. This will require some thinking about how education is structured in your country. It could be a primary school, a gymnasium, technical training facilities, a university, a religious school, or even something creative and unique. Maybe you need a testing facility for university admission (like ACT/SAT testing sites in the US) or for certifications for graduation (like an off-site Bac?). The choice is up to you. The key here, however, is to map things in detail no matter how small it is.

As you complete your new work, share it for the community either below or in the forum. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask a friend! As always, I’ll do my best to provide feedback where I can. Good luck, everyone!

So this is my second week of active mapping using the in browser editor and I’ve created a pricy neighborhood next to the Margenson airport. I’ve spend some time on the detailing and added all of the buildings, roads, ways…

How do you guys find it? What can I do better?

(The buildings near the neighborhood will get a redone. For example the 8Hotel that is way tooo big :D)

Just wanted to let everybody know, I won’t be mapping for the next 3 weeks or so.

God Willing, I’ll be traveling to the U.S. for the first time in 9 years to visit friends and family in the beautiful state of Maine.

As of right now, I have restarted my country once already, but it’s starting to become a mess now in my opinion. I’m wondering whether it is a good idea to delete it again or not.

Since I have rebuilt my country, I have felt good about the progress I was making at the start, but I am starting to get dissatisfied with the quality of my mapping. Much of the country is empty right now, which tells me that I have made some progress, but I don’t feel like I have made a lot.

Notes to ignore:

• Deng-Ville, as I will be redoing it as well shortly.
• Bézers, as i will be redoing the primary road junction with the motorway.
• The fact that many roads are over-classified in Patin-Loud, I will be downgrading many of them.
